Overview
On October 29, 2024, the Opioid Remediation Collaborative (ORC) presented to the LC7 team in Socorro, New Mexico. The presentation covered ORC’s mission, findings from focus groups and community listening sessions in Socorro, Catron, and Sierra Counties, and introduced first-year initiatives aimed at enhancing prevention and treatment in these rural areas.
The event saw an impressive turnout, with attendees engaging in discussions about the use of opioid settlement funds. Community members offered valuable insights on supporting rural communities. ORC expressed gratitude for the opportunity to present and intends to provide periodic updates on the organization’s progress.
