Overview
The youth of Socorro County have taken a powerful step in launching their local contribution to the seven-county Youth Media Campaign, supported by the Opioid Remediation Collaborative (ORC). With creativity and conviction, they produced a prevention poster centered on the message “Don’t Let Drugs Define You”—a rallying cry designed to spark conversation and reflection among their peers.
This initiative is part of a broader effort to elevate youth voices in rural communities and provide platforms for authentic expression around substance use prevention. The Socorro youth, drawing from personal experiences and shared community concerns, crafted a message that is bold, relatable, and empowering.
