Overview
On October 1, 2025, the Opioid Remediation Collaborative of New Mexico (ORCNM) had the honor of presenting regional updates to the Valencia County Commissioners. The discussion centered on local priorities for FY 2025–2026, which include:
Supporting evidence-based treatment and prevention strategies within the Valencia County Detention Center
Expanding access to NARCAN across community settings
As part of this collaboration, ORCNM officially announced the approval of $41,589.11 in targeted purchases for the Detention Center. These investments include:
Injectable Medications for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD)
A secure Narcotics Cabinet to ensure proper storage and administration of medications
In addition to these initiatives, Commissioners requested Deterra Drug Disposal Pouches for local senior centers—an ask that ORCNM is proud to fulfill during the fall season.
This update reflects the continued partnership between ORCNM and Valencia County and demonstrates a strong, aligned commitment to prevention, treatment, and recovery across the region.
