Overview

On October 16, 2025, the Opioid Remediation Collaborative of New Mexico (ORCNM) was honored to present regional updates to the Cibola County Commissioners, highlighting local and statewide strategies to combat the opioid crisis.

The presentation included an overview of Cibola County’s FY 2025–2026 priorities, with a focus on prevention, emergency preparedness, and access to life-saving tools. ORCNM also provided updates on the NARCAN Box Project, which directly supports two key goals in Cibola County:

  1. Expanding access to NARCAN distribution in public and strategic locations

  2. Strengthening Emergency Management Services (EMS) by equipping them to better assist individuals experiencing behavioral health and substance use challenges

ORCNM thanks Cibola County leadership for their ongoing collaboration and meaningful dialogue. Together, we are advancing regional solutions to ensure more responsive, equitable, and compassionate care.
