Overview
On August 4, 2026, the Opioid Remediation Collaborative of New Mexico (ORCNM) participated in the annual National Night Out event in Tome, New Mexico. Hosted by the Valencia County Sheriff’s Office, the event provided residents with an opportunity to meet local law enforcement officers, public safety personnel, and community organizations in a welcoming, family-friendly environment.
Community members enjoyed a cookout, games, prizes, and opportunities for youth and their families to connect with the numerous community vendors in attendance. The event helped strengthen relationships between residents, law enforcement, and organizations serving Valencia County.
ORCNM participated as a community resource vendor, engaging with residents and supporting the event by providing hot dog and hamburger buns and beverages for attendees. Participation in events like National Night Out provides ORCNM with an opportunity to connect directly with families while strengthening partnerships with organizations working to promote healthier and safer communities.
ORCNM extends its appreciation to the Valencia County Sheriff’s Office and participating community partners for creating an engaging event that brings residents and local resources together.
