Overview
In February 2025, the Opioid Remediation Collaborative (ORC) provided updates to the Guadalupe and Sierra County Commissioners regarding ongoing efforts to combat the opioid crisis in their communities. These presentations highlighted the progress of various initiatives aimed at prevention, treatment, and recovery support.
A notable achievement shared during the meetings was the development of youth prevention posters by both counties. These creative projects, designed by local youth, serve as powerful tools to raise awareness and educate peers about the dangers of opioid misuse.
The ORC extends its gratitude to the commissioners for their continued support and collaboration, which are vital in implementing effective strategies to address opioid-related challenges in rural areas.
