Overview

The Opioid Remediation Collaborative of New Mexico (ORCNM) is proud to welcome three new partners into its growing network: the Village of Los Lunas, Grant County, and Luna County. This expansion reflects a shared commitment to building healthier, more resilient rural communities by strengthening prevention, expanding access to treatment, and supporting long-term recovery pathways.

As part of their onboarding, each new entity will benefit from tailored regional support and strategic investments, including:

  • Expanded treatment and recovery services that address the specific needs of each county

  • Community-based prevention programs designed to engage schools, families, and neighborhoods

  • Infrastructure enhancements, such as:

    • Safe medication disposal solutions (e.g., Deterra Pouches)

    • Telehealth hubs to improve rural access to care

    • Community resource centers functioning as one-stop hubs for education, peer support, and prevention services

Additionally, this collaboration enables participation in cross-county planning efforts that maximize collective impact. Benefits of this regional model include:

  • Reduced travel barriers through shared treatment networks

  • Unified prevention campaigns that span multiple counties

  • Shared investments in emergency response and infrastructure, ensuring rural communities are equipped with life-saving tools and systems

Together, these new partnerships strengthen the ORCNM ecosystem and reinforce its mission of equitable care and collaborative progress across central and southern New Mexico.
