Overview

On September 20, 2025, the Opioid Remediation Collaborative (ORC) attended the Stomp Out the Stigma – Mental Health Activity Fair in Magdalena, NM. This event brought together various partners to deliver a comprehensive community experience focused on mental health support and opioid crisis awareness.

The fair included free flu vaccines, mental health journals, and a dedicated mindfulness zone. One of the key components was QPR training, which equips participants to recognize the warning signs of suicide and confidently offer support or intervention. Attendees also participated in games and activities designed to reduce stigma and build community resilience. ORC’s role centered on offering education, distributing resources, and strengthening connections for individuals in crisis or recovery.
