Overview

On October 8, 2025, the Opioid Remediation Collaborative of New Mexico (ORCNM) presented regional updates to the Hidalgo County Commissioners, reaffirming the shared commitment to improving access to treatment and continuity of care for individuals facing substance use challenges.

ORCNM is proud to support two critical strategies prioritized by the county this year:

  1. Supporting the start-up of inpatient services at the Hidalgo Hope Haven facility, expanding access to stabilization and recovery care for individuals in crisis.

  2. Implementing evidence-based treatment and prevention strategies within the Hidalgo County Detention Center, ensuring continuity of care and helping reduce recidivism.

These initiatives underscore Hidalgo County’s leadership in fostering equity and long-term health resilience through collaborative, community-first solutions. ORCNM is grateful for the continued partnership and momentum toward lasting impact.
