Overview

On December 3, 2025, Guadalupe County launched a new hospital-based resource display case designed to connect residents with essential behavioral health tools and opioid prevention supports. Spearheaded by local Resource Leader Shelly Eiland, the initiative showcases key offerings from the Opioid Remediation Collaborative of New Mexico (ORCNM).

The display includes:

  • ORCNM App – providing guidance and support for individuals facing behavioral health or substance use challenges, as well as for loved ones offering care

  • 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline – helping individuals quickly access crisis support and navigation services

  • Deterra Drug Disposal Pouches – offering families a safe, easy way to dispose of unused medications and reduce misuse risks

By making these supports highly visible and accessible in a trusted community setting, Guadalupe County is actively reducing stigma, encouraging early intervention, and empowering residents to take action for a healthier, safer future.
